Many of us are trying to decide what wines to serve for Thanksgiving.
Its a mistake to think what goes well with turkey.
Turkey may be symbol of Thanksgiving but the day’s special dinner is all about the sides — cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, corns, brussel sprouts and on and on.
These side dishes need a wine with body and richness. Something a bit sweet like a California zinfandel or a pinot grigio.
Stick with something from the USA, after all it is Thanksgiving!
Whatever you do, avoid serving a dry wine with Turkey, which tends to be dry itself.
